I am just wondering who and why someone put the little lines calling some people "Director of Photography" others "Key Grip". I think that this is rather tacky. Do you??

I don't mind it, I think it's kinda cool.
In a sense, it encourages people to post more messages. Well, for me atleast, but you can call me strange.

I liked the old subject/title lines are much better. I think that the new lines are pretentious. In fact I would go as far as to say that they are a mockery.
The old ways of saying "Junior" Member or "Senior" member were much more distinguished.
Well enough of my ranting.

If I wanted "key grip" as part of my online identity I would have listed it myself. But, if you feel you must assign titles to us, please call me '2nd Assistant Greensman'...

Just trying to add some levity and have some fun. I thought they would be fun and more in the theme of the forum than the more generic "Junior Hostboard member" and "Senior Hostboard member" labels the system defaults to. I got the idea from the Fametracker site my wife frequents all the time.
I'll change 'em back to the boring ones if it's really a problem.

Wow, I just assumed you guys put those there yourselves somehow...
I haven't noticed if I have one or not.
If so, I hope it's something like: celluloid manipulating diety, master of all things audio and visual" or something really pompous like that! (Just kidding Mike!).
Actually, I do think it's not a bad idea, just maybe weird to those who don't want them there.
As long as they're actually accurate, they would be useful to newbies coming on, to see that they are getting their questions answered by qualified people.
But what do I know?

OK, OK... I can see how this is confusing if people assume the titles are actually accurate, so I just ditched them. The software defaults to Junior Hostboard Member, Senior Hostboard Member and Moderator (that's me), so that's what we're back to.
And before anyone asks.... no, I can't turn this "feature" off. I can only changed the terminology used.
Thanks, all, for the input.

Hey, for fun can you make it read "Larry" "Moe" and "Curly"?
Or maybe "Groucho" "Harpo" and "Chico"?
